I didn't know much about this guy either until I watched this awesome documentary about a month ago. I think it was on Investigation Discovery or Crime and Investigation channels.

IMO....I think Heather, the girl of the murdered parents, knew what was going on more than she testified. She got released and is now free. No doubt Richard is a sick guy. But she def played towards his obsession and affection towards her. Heather was rebelious and was not close with her parents and sister. They also forced her not to date richard. I think she's sick too....
