Okay here's a game some of y'all might think is a little dumb but it's worth the attempt...
okay fine.
its crap but try it anyway ok???
If you had to put together items in a shoebox for some kind of "emergancy"
(notice the idea is NOT a real one you'd call 911 one over, etc)
what would it be and the items must fit into a box! (a shoebox preferred but it'd be nice if you could hand it off to *anyone* in a similar situation and having a shoebox-sized limit could make *most* items affordable)
ok to get you started...
an example -
A High School Senior to Freshman shoebox
includes:
* envelope labeled "emergancy lunch money" (at the time I went to school it was three dollars but it was also a Catholic high school)
* post it notes with 5 dollar starbucks gift card labeled "last minute test cram kit"
* phone card with a dial-a-ride number written on it (anyone remember this? in the mid-ninties you could call this number and get a free ride home on new years if your driver had been drinking. Also worked during the year for getting home safe from bad dates if you felt "uncomfortable")
* A can of coca-cola "Monday morning fuel"
* a mini bag of assorted candy, including breath mints
* a Blockbuster gift card taped to a sealed bag of microwave popcorn
* a pack of number two pencils with a sharpener
* a mini-notebook of things to know...including some tidbits as "go over homework again on Sunday night for teachers who spring surprise quizes" "the baked potato costs extra at the salad bar but you can load it with as many toppings as you like - but be considerate of those behind you" "do half of a large assignment when the deadline is the day after April 1st - just in case it isn't"

okay fine.
