One of mine is actually Hellraiser: Bloodline. I read the original premise before watching it, and hoped something cool would shine through... but in the end, the final product was just way too halfbaked to be worthy of the franchise.
But that's one among many. Horror of Dracula and Dead of Night were huge disappointments to me, and currently rank among my personal "overrated" file. Dead and Buried and The Funhouse also make the list of disappointments; what's worse is, I listened to The Funhouse as a small child and got seriously creeped out. Actually watching the thing years later let me down after 10 or so years.
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ
