Well, I got really fucking bored. It was worth watching, I guess, but no replay value at all.

Man that's fucking gay....
I already heard it sucked from someone else.... But I mean damn...

Yeah. It had so much potential. I watched it with an open-mind, as well. Once the movie started, I completely blocked the original from my mind, like it never happened. It was just a shitty movie.

damn.... whats with all of these sucky movies!

Friday The 13th Wrote:damn.... whats with all of these sucky movies! The new day and age is whats up with them. They have to much censorship and to worried about special effects, and graphics instead of plots and storyline. Screw the effects I want a cold hard plot not something stupid. I mean how many of you go to the movies to watch a guy blow up in a million pieces? Would you rather go and get goosebumps and chills from a insane plot?

Man the movie was just... boring. I think I'm going to write a review so I can go more in depth.

That's fuckin' GAY!

Whats fucked up is some people actually liked it...

Instead of going to the theater I hung out at home and watched the new DVD of the original. Great special features (mostly ported from the British release) that do a great movie justice. The really strange thing is that there are tons of people who hate the original, maybe they are the ones that like the remake. To each there own I suppose.

Well I have the old bare bones DVD and the transfer is about the same. Though I'm not sure that they can or will do much with it. The film was shot to look grainy and gritty in sort of a documentary style (according to Craven anyway) so I doubt they would want to clean it up much. Really if you are a fan of the movie and have the old release the only reason to get this one is the special features which I talked about a lot in my review.
That said I am interested in checking out the remake, just to see what they did with it. Though I'm going to wait for the DVD to come out. Kind of hard to justify dropping $10 on a movie that I'm probably not going to dig when I'll get the DVD for free in a few months. exdev:

It bored the hell out of me. It seems a lot of people are digging on it, I do not understand why.

Not being able to just turn something off is one of the downsides of getting free review copies of movies. That said this has to be better than some of the no budget movies I've sat thru. God I hope so anyway.

Yeah, probably. I mean, I went into the theaters wide-awake. During the film I actually got sleepy. That's how much it bored me. Imagine this:
There's a killer upstairs hiding. It shows someone walk into the house. They know the killer is in there some where. It takes them 5 minutes to make it from down stairs to the upstairs. There's no music which builds tension or at least takes your mind off of the boring shit you're seeing. The person walks upstairs for 5 minutes before the killer pops out. The killer slips away from him and hides again. It's another 10 minutes before anything else happens. I mean, it may not have taken that long, but it sure seemed like it did. Also, it seemed like they were struggling for minutes. There would just be random shots of the house, the lake, etc... I actually became pissed off that this movie was so fucking boring. The person I was with certainly didn't enjoy it, either. When it took 5 minutes for something to happen, then they had to move onto something else, you knew it was going to be another 5 minutes of pure fucking boredom before something else happened. :reddisgust:

Oh, it was. I'm surprised so many people actually liked it. Claiming it was one of the "better" remakes. Wtf ever.
