TalkHorror is in need of staff members.
#1
If you are interested, please post in this thread or talk with one of the current staff members.

As you all know, TalkHorror is going through some major upgrades. Soon enough, there will be a mainpage associated with TalkHorror, which will transform TalkHorror into a full-fledged horror website -- not just message board anymore. So, if you want to be a part of the TalkHorror Staff, please let me know.

Available Positions:

Message Board Moderators
News Posters
Reviewers
Interviewers
Graphic Designers

and many other positions will also become available. If you have a skill that I have not listed above that you think could help the growth of TH, please let me know. I am open to all suggestions. If you are interested in any of the positions listed above, please let me know. If you can do multiple things, that would be even better. All candidates will be discussed amongst the staff members and then we will let you know if you are a part of the TalkHorror staff!

We would love to have you onboard. Just out of curiosity, have you written any prior reviews? If so, could you post one?

Actually, I have not but I am a die hard fan of the genre, have talked about my views on recent horror movies and would actually like to make it something I can do professionally

I realize I haven't been active much lately, but I might be interested in news posting. I'm also big into horror literature and art/illustration/design if you see that being a part of the bigger site. I currently run BookAesthete and BA Contemporary, which aren't horror-exclusive but there is some content (esp. on the Contemporary site).

Hello, I'm new to the forum scene but i've been doing reviews for a while as a creative outlet. I'm doing casual reviews on a thread ATM, but I'd love to do some reviews and anything else you need. I'm a librarian and part time artist so if those skills suit your needs, please let me know. I also have a more reliable internet source, and my own PC which helps my availability (:
Thanks & Let me know.

Just thought I would pop in and leave a hello here!

I curate and write for ottawahorror.com but am def available for moderation if need be, and snazzy graphic design. I heart photoshop and wordpress.

Speaking of wordpress, design, and horror ~ my projects are wrapping up so I can devote more time here Smile

Just unveiled the re-vamp of the official site of the Ottawa based horror-punk band Patron Saint of Plagues - some of my favorite creeps. Custom design by me, but they brought all that spooky with them. Comes naturally to dead guys, i guess.

As an aside, I do tend to watch documentaries about horror. Would there be interest in my writing reviews on them once the site expands?

Writing reviews on anything genre related would be welcome. The site needs something to set it apart, and a good range of topics would be a nice place to start. Once the main site gets going, I hope to write some pages on what makes horror on film work best.
“The Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audience’s deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... I’d better stop before I give myself nightmares”
