DJ Says: Charles Manson Is My Father!

Imagine spending years tracking down your real father, only to find out he's one of history's most notorious psychopaths.
Matthew Roberts, a DJ in Los Angees says Charles Manson raped his mother during a drug-fueled orgy in 1967, two years before his cult "family" carried out the notorious Helter Skelter murders, according to The Sun. Then, shortly after his birth, she put him up for adoption.
Roberts says he tracked down his real mother, who at first didn't tell him his father was Manson, who has been living in prison since 1969. When she told him the truth, Roberts wrote to the lunatic in prison -- who has since sent him a series of rambling letters that confirm the story, according to the Sun.
And Roberts is having a hard time with the news because, he says, he's the exact opposite of his infamous father.
"I don't even like the fact that I'm big," he told the paper. "It makes me even scarier. My hero is Gandhi. I'm an extremely non-violent, peaceful person and a vegetarian... I don't even kill bugs."
Manson, of course, has a special place in the Weird Crime Mug Shot Hall of Shame. And earlier this year, I wonder what would happen if he had been able to live out his "other" dream.
