Gutmunchers Wrote:This thing scares the crap out of me, and not in a good way. They keep talking about making Jason human again and giving him a back story. I grew up on this franchise and don't need to see the motivation of the characters. He is Jason, he kills campers and that is all good.
Plus I watched His Name was Jason and the director (Marcus Nispel) is all proud of the Texas Chainsaw remake (which I think is a travesty). Damn the guy was a music video director for George Michael and Cher! Having him any where near this project is the kiss of death for me. Still I'll check it out, just because I need to see if it is as bad as I think it could be.
Dude, to keep squeezing money outta Jason and Friday the 13th, they HAVE to do things like giving him a back story. Kinda like Rob Zombie did with Halloween. Today people want a deeper experience, and though I love Mr Voorhees just as much as the rest of you gore hounds, I can't blame them. I mean, we've SEEN Jason slaughter his way through 11 films, and I'm getting a bit bored, though it was nice to see Mr. Kruger again
:zombie:Then again, what do I know? I'm a zombie dude

P.S. I'm pretty stoked about the remake. At least these films keep these movieologies around. And YES, I made up that word!!!
