The Fatal Hairdo

I'm thinking urban legend. I always heard that they kept their hair up & didn't wash it for so long that bugs had time to nest in it. Their scalp would start to itch & bugs would come pouring out of their head. As a girl that washes her hair daily, all I can say is "Ewwwww!" Plus, I know of plenty of grandma's that go to the beauty parlor once a week for a wash and set. Believe my, by the day before their next appointment, they are looking really rough, but amazingly bug free.

But I do believe some bit of it is possible.
