Well, The Last Broadcast was one the first real popular and legit 'found footage' horror movies. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was great because it was like you were the camera and you are trapped and trying to find your way out. It puts you into the movie.
Honestly, 'found footage' can be done GOOD. Cloverfield did it very well but Paranormal Activity... they said it was supposed to be real or at least, based off of something real. You want a failed 'found footage' movie? See The Fourth Kind. That movie epically failed.
