Maybe it was because I'd recently seen "Orphan" and was just creepy-kidded out but I really didn't care for it. Granted, I really liked the angle that Goyer took with the story, but it seems like he used all his energy coming up with the concept and decided to skimp on things like dialogue and logic. The creepiest part, to me, was the old man doing the crab walk, but hell, that was on the menu screen. It seemed to borrow a lot from j-horror too, both in how it was shot and with the pale-faced creepy kid. Not that it's a bad thing, but I thought it just made it feel really derivative.
