Daylight Yet Unseen Wrote:actually, the avarage energy drink has 80-100 mg per 8oz can. but RockStar and Monster and such come in 16oz cans so it's 200mg for the 16oz can. Redline has 300mg for 8.4oz can.
That was basically my point. Most drinks don't have NEARLY that amount of Caffeine in them.
I think Daylight would agree with me that Energy Drinks are the new McDonalds Calories Topic; Back in the day people said a Big Mac had 1500 Calories or more (Well, they thought it and I heard it all the time anyway) and in reality, a Big Mac is about 500 Calories.
Just like people thought they had 1500 Calories, people think Energy drinks have almost lethal amounts of Caffeine. Look at it like this; If Red Bull had 300 MGs of Caffeine per 8 ounces like that guy thought it did.... How the FUCK would we drink that many and live?
Caffeine is hard to OD on in DRINK form; Like Coffee, Tea, and Pop / Energy Drinks, and even Energy Shots. Most ODs on Caffeine are generally from pills.
Caffeine makes you piss, and so you piss it out before you take too much. Also, close to Lethal levels would make you vomit up most of it to save your life. ODing on Caffeine would almost always require Pills or this:
On "1,000 Ways to Die" they had a girl on there who slammed like 8 or 10 Energy Drinks... And I mean the BIG ones. She weighed like 100 pounds.
She could handle all those drinks and was still alive until she went passed like 10. So if it takes 10 Energy Drinks to kill someone 100 pounds or so, how the hell is it dangerous to the rest of us?
