Trioxin149 Wrote:And Gore, I'm checking out your links. This is from Wikipedia. How does this even support what you were saying earlier. For example, you said the max limit of caffeine a person should have daily is 500mg, I said 300mg, and Wikipedia says, well....
An acute overdose of caffeine, usually in excess of about 300 milligrams, dependent on body weight and level of caffeine tolerance, can result in a state of central nervous system over-stimulation called caffeine intoxication (DSM-IV 305.90),[92] or colloquially the "caffeine jitters". The symptoms of caffeine intoxication are not unlike overdoses of other stimulants. It may include restlessness, nervousness, excitement, insomnia, flushing of the face, increased urination, gastrointestinal disturbance, muscle twitching, a rambling flow of thought and speech, irritability, irregular or rapid heart beat, and psychomotor agitation.
You haven't read the chat box yet have you?
Quote:I looked through the drug page as well, and I'll admit, you have me there somewhat. With the heroin actually having some health benefits, but finding pure heroin is the problem. As even most of the hardcore drug users don't know how pure the heroin they are taking is, or what it's laced with. So that's a tough thing to derive health benefits from.
Yea, it's the problem that comes with prohibition. The same thing happened with Alcohol in the Prohibition years. The term Bathtub Gin comes from that time. And it's why America has Cocktails. The alcohol was low quality, you didn't know the proof, and it could have been "cut" with poison. A lot of people died. And a lot of Gangsters like Al Capone were rich and killed people in the streets fighting out who owned what area. A lot like today's gangs selling pot. Same thing different drug really.
Tylenol comes in a bottle with instructions on it, and you know it's pure and how much is there. Heroin used to as well, and Morphine still does. That's why the only time you hear of an OD is when someone does something else.
The drug Oxy Contin was on the news a lot because people ODd a lot. What they failed to mention (I think poppies.org had the full article) most of those people were crushing it up and shooting it up with needles.... They left that out on the news. Which is negligent at best.
Oxy Contin is a Time Release version of Oxy Codone. You're supposed to swallow it, and if you crush or chew it, you can OD on one pill becase you broke the time release part of it.
Quote:And as far as potheads being put in prison with violent offenders?
It's not like that everywhere in the country. I live in the commonwealth and the prison system here is put into categories basically, they even have prisons for specific age groups. 25 and under prisons, senior prisons, violent prisons, and so on. They each have a rep.
I wasn't meaning pot heads. See other post before this one. Hackers still get fucked with that. If you're good, you get a job offer, and if you turn it down, you basically get jail time. I gave names of people this kind of stuff happened to, which you can read up on. They're fairly well know.
If you have trouble finding it, I have a movie / documentary about it.
Quote:But, do I think that just because someone got caught smoking pot 3 times and they should have the luxury of being put in a tamer prison? No way. I think they should go through the same process as everyone else and if they end up in a bad prison, so be it. They choose to smoke, they chose to break the law, and they must be willing to suffer the consequences, just like anyone else.
A guy in Florida got busted for that because he was using it for pain. He's now sitting in prison on a Morphine drip. I don't think he should even be in there.
Quote:I'm not against people that smoke pot, but just like people who decide to drink in public, and so on and so forth, they must be prepared to suffer the consequences. Where I'm from, it's 3 strikes and your out. And around here, I never see anyone going to prison for smoking pot, NEVER.
In Germany there isn't even a law for public drunk stuff. As long as you aren't driving drunk they don't care. Here, you rarely see anyone in trouble for it.
Quote:They get a slap on the hand for that. I always see pot smokers going to prison when they are selling, or trying to sell. And selling drugs to children on the streets, or raping a child on the streets. Neither one is more forgiving in my eyes.
People who rape kids, or anyone else, shouldn't be in prison, they should have their nuts dipped in honey and be forced to Tea Bag Fire Ant hills.
Selling drugs to kids is.... VERY much overrated. I've not once ever seen a kid buy drugs. I'm not even kidding about that. I've known a lot of drug addicts, and a lot of pot heads, and a lot of drunks in my time, and not once have I ever seen anyone under the age of 16 be able to buy anything. And at 16, you know what you're doing at that point.
Have you ever actually seen a child BUY drugs? Most of the time I hear it brought up, it's usually the way they get laws passed; They make it seem like your 7 year old can buy pot. Yet, again, I've personally never seen it or even heard of that actually happening.
I used to have a quote from a govt study done in New York, and the study concluded they couldn't actually find anyone under a certain age who'd ever bought any drugs.
In High School, I've HEARD of people doing drugs, but seeing it happen, well, Seniors maybe. People who are almost 18. People who are charged as adults for having drugs on them, and then in the media are "Innocent Children".
If the media can call them innocent children then how come they get charged as an adult? I don't get that hypocrisy. Either admit they were adults, or charge them as children too lol.
