I thought the movie was very depressing. The actual book by John Keel that was based on the real events in Point Pleasant, WWVA was chilling-there were so many strange things going on in that town, not just sightings of the creature.
The movie just didnt begin to bring that to life-not that it didnt have any scary moments-just not enough
