Remakes. There is not originality in a remake. At least, not in today's world. With sequels it gives the director/writer to think of a new story but still retain what was good from the original. You can argue that the same could be done with remake but name me 3 remakes that didn't use a cliche to build up tension. Remakes, rebootings, re-imaginings, re-imagings and so forth show that Hollywood has gotten lazy.
