Daylight does have a point socially speaking; we hear of stuff like this all the time so it eventually loses its personal meaning on us and we start to overlook death, save for the odder ones (We could call it "slasher film syndrome"? <.< )... but it's still a human life. If we were there, and we knew all the details and emotions, this could be the most tragic occurrence we could imagine.
