Gordons turn to the darkside could have been nice but it felt really rushed and there's still no explanation to who helped him drug Hoffman. Don't even get me started on how they own gave John less then 5 minutes of screen time that was bullshit. That's another reason VIII would have to be very... well done to work right. We get one scene of John in 3D... so, either we get about the same amount in VIII (which would probably end up disastrous as we STILL don't know his full backstory, EG a lot of what went on behind the scenes), or they throw in a whole bunch all of a sudden. That would likely end up being kind of awkward (especially with no Jill to trigger the flashbacks), but pretty much necessary.
My guess as to Larry's helpers: Brad and Ryan from the public trap. Kind of sucks, but it's the only way they would have any relevance to the story besides "being the opening trap". Without that in mind, I'd kind of prefer Pamela Jenkins, Daniel Matthews, or Mallick from part V.
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ
