The one thing that truly bugged me about the film was "WHY?" the collector would set up so many traps when he didn't exactly count on Arkin coming, probably didn't plan for his hostages to escape, and actually caught his hostages in a matter of seconds. Goes hand in hand with Dodgson's #2 (the rest of his list I can mostly chalk up to a mix of circumstances and artistic license).
Otherwise, I thought the film was above-average for sure: suspense throughout the latter half and some moments of very nice direction. I didn't notice the score on my first viewing, but I'm willing to give it a re-watch to make a better judgment on the matter. At this moment I give The Collector a solid 6.5/10
