First, that song will NEVER be tacky! It's far too awesome to be tacky. It will just be retro and epic when you finally dance with your sweety to it.
Second, I know precisely how you feel. My Dad was born in 1924 in the Bronx—good old fashioned first generation Italian. I was raised conservative, Catholic, and... well... Italian. I went through High School with people asking me if I was going to become a nun... and with everyone thinking my Dad was my Grandfather. :reddisgust:
Needless to say, I've come out of my shell.
