Yeah, worryingly, I haven't heard much news about this one. Unless JC3 is a true sleeper-hit, I can see it being either quietly cancelled or ending up as something you find in $5 DVD bins

Unfortunately, it probably won't get a theatrical release since the market for this movie might not be big. The only thing that I can hope for is that the entire trilogy becomes a cult hit, which I believe the first two are nearing cult status. Sad because it's such an underrated series that brought one of the slashers to the screen.

I agree with both of you. Direct-to-video is probably the most likely route.
