Writing competitions?

I just started working on a story that's been kicking around in my head the past week or so. I really didn't want to start this without the right amount of people. The more we have participating, the better it will be. Ten was the magic number I was shooting for. I'd settle for nine. We still need at least two more participants and a judge. Here's what we've got so far:

I was just going to work on my own stuff until we had enough entrants. Wasn't sure what else to do. I'm open to suggestions.
