Just finished watching it.
First thing I want to say is: I had zero interest in this. I only DVRed it because it was free (aired on TCM extreme or whatever). I wanted it to be horrible, because there never should have been one remake to begin with.
I laughed my ass off through this entire trashy mess. This is easily the worst comedy I've ever seen.
Grittiness? There is absolutely nothing gritty about this movie - it's murky, muddy, garbage. Zombie's camera work is just as awful as his directing and story writing are.
Zombie completely ass raped the Halloween brand. Everything about this movie (story, characters, editing, cinematography, acting) is disgusting, and not in a good way.
I'm glad RZ has pretty much went into hibernation - I'll never watch another film he does.
