Do you think Rob Zombie's Halloween remakes are better than the originals?

I didnt think his remake of the original is even in the same ballpark as John Carpenter's original. But, with that being said I did not think that the remake was a terrible movie. I found it as an interesting re-imagining of Michael Myers,his childhood and a deeper look into his psyche. I think that the scenes of him as a kid in the psychiatric hospital were a little long for my liking and got a little boring. I just saw that new trailer for the second one and even though I was not at all impressed with the first trailer, I have to say that this one did grab me more.
