The others had all split off now, no answer in sight... What, I had to stop my own heart before getting off?? No damn way, man, no damn way... I was looking not to get killed, NOT to get killed no damn way... I wasn't going to end up like those 9, count 'em 9 fools sitting in the blast range from Friday's cunning engineering, which I learned had so cunningly already stopped the hearts of two of my own kind...
No, I was going to get back there, there had to be a better way... a better way... They were all dead enough, I just had to get back to the others, crazy Friday didn't even take the pot lid or the kitchen knife--

A knife came down from behind Briggs, plunging into his shoulder. Briggs whipped around to see a wide-eyed girl gaping at her target as she swung her weapon down again, this time aiming for his chest...
But Isabel's weapon was not an uzi, this was Mr. Briggs's weapon, which he had learned to use well over the past days-- It was very little difference to him who he used it on... and Isabel was no exception. The girl went down softly but wildly against a tree, and she looked up at Briggs...
Briggs: What's your favorite horror movie?
Isabel (Frightened): ...It's... Halloween.
Briggs (Shocked): That's--
Another knife struck Briggs, tearing down his leg. The boy with the kitchen knife had come back to life, unscarred and laughing like a hyena. Briggs buckled, but did not fall as Landon rose from the ground and started to swing his weapon. Briggs was shocked, he could only watch for a while as the knife slashed repeatedly against his chest, tore his cheek apart. It was harder this time to fire the uzi all over the hyena's torso, flinging him against another tree. And yet, he still laughed.
Landon (singsong): IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESSSS!
Briggs: WHA-WHAT??
Landon: That's my favoriiiiiite; In the Mouth of Madnesss!!!! AAAAHAHAHHAAHA!!!!
Briggs shot and shot the hyena but it didn't stop!!! He dropped the uzi, took out his pistol--
Isabel: He-he's dead!!! What are you doing??!
Briggs spun himself around to face the girl, a look two times as insane as Landon's on his face.
Briggs: I--I was going to finish them off... B-by that I mean you too...
Isabel: I.... I'm sorry for what I did... I don't want to die...
Briggs: I... I don't want to kill... You. You were the one to give me a straight answer... I like Magic, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre... The original... A-And I also like Phantasm, and Puppet Master, and Pet Sematary, and Psycho, and The Strangers, and Candyman.......
Isabel looked at Briggs for a long time, and Briggs looked at her for a long time. After a while they both calmed down a bit.
Briggs blew Isabel's brains all over the tree, and walked away with his new friends Halloween and The Mouth of Madness...
