The DMA Short Essay About Twilight
#1
Okay, so I read Twilight. Actually, devoured is probably a better word. And thought I enjoyed the books, I'll go on the record and say they're not the best written stories out there. I didn't like the movie at all. Now with the second movie due soon and all the recent Internet backlash for Twilight's "horror" status, I've written a short essay discrediting Twilight as a horror story. I've stayed away from taking the "because it sucks" approach and have tried to be reasonable in my criticism. I invite you to give it a read and share your thoughts.

LOL, Thanks! I'm a sucker for an angsty romance. I guess part of me will always be 15.

Very well said. Damn, she doesn't even like horror? That's pretty obvious, hehe. I just wish Twilight would stop being labeled as it too. Damn, I guess Harry Potter was horror too, right?

I'll probably see, if only to complain loudly and at length about how much it blows.

I'll go on record as saying I will never, ever read these.

Tried to watch the first movie with my wife, after she put me on a guilt trip ("do you know how many movies I watch with you, just to make you happy, when I have absolutely no desire to see them?") . . . and I made it through the first 30 minutes before I fell asleep.

I've never seen anything so atrocious in my life. And I saw Jan DeBont's THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE in the theater. Smile
