Harold Ramis (Egon from Ghostbusters) recently caught up with Heeb Magazine where he updated the status of Ghostbusters 3. According to the director/producer/actor, we could be seeing the new team of ectoplasm hunters as soon as 2011. " Somethingâs going to happen," Ramis told Heeb. " Dan [Aykroyd] did write a spec GB3 screenplay a few years ago, but no one was motivated to pursue it. Now, 25 years after the original, there seems to be some willingness to proceed and apparently a substantial public appetite for a sequel. Weâll introduce some new young Ghostbusters, and all the old guys will be in it, too. Think Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future ... GB3 is progressing with plans to shoot next summer and release in 2011." Sigourney Weaver has been throwing curveballs as of late, but if there were one person to trust, it would be Ramis. Holy crap I can't wait for 2011!

Any word if Rick Morranis changed his mind on returning? I know he's not as essential as Egon, Ray, Winston and Peter, but still.....CAN'T WAIT!!!!!
Just realized all of them have some slimming down to do if they're going to get back into those same jumpsuits!

Excited to finally here they are going through with the 3rd one. I've always loved the series.
The other day, I heard "Your love is lifting me higher" or whatever the song is actually called. I instantly imagined the statue of liberty walking about.
