Hmmmmm, it's a close one. They really both offer such different experiences. Jason is a physical, plodding, unstoppable killing machine, where Freddy is more of a mind fyouck. Jason is close to mindless in his pursuits, almost like a force of nature, Freddy can made you laugh you ass off. But to give it a decision between who is better, I can't. But my personal favorite is........................Freddy! I use to have dreams where he helped me fight zombies when I was a kid. Strange huh?:zombie:

I'm going to have to go with Jason, honestly. I love Freddy, just not as much as Jason.

I've always found Freddy to be annoying. I like the quiet slashers that just show up and do there job without all the chit chat.

Personally I've just never liked the wisecracking Freddy. I get way more out of the physical performance of a Kane Hodder and his body language as Jason than I do with Robert Englund (who is a fantastic actor, I make no qualms about that at all!) and his dialogue. One is creepy and scary the other I just want to kick in the groin because he annoys me.
It also doesn't hurt that I was right in the prime of my horror years during the mid to late 80s and everyone wanted to watch the Elm Street movies all the time. I'll concede that I just might be permanently burned out on them. This is the only horror series that I don't own every movie on DVD or VHS.

Ok Freddy wins hands down because he is bad ass in so many ways ok 1. he gets ur ass in your dreams 2. he kills in so many different ways and 3. he talks and runs and moves fast and all his movies ain't the same plot
