I cant believe nobody has mentioned this movie yet. It had some of the best one liners in all of horror delivered by the great Tom Atkins.

Then a viewing is mandatory. This was a great 80's horror comedy but it took itself seriously. It was made by Fred Dekker, the same guy behing The Monster Squad and House. They just released the directors cut onto DVD a few months ago.

Everyone who hasn't seen it: it's pretty much the quintessential 80s horror-comedy, so if you like them this should definitely be on your to-view list. Thankfully, "Creeps" FINALLY received a DVD release a few months ago after very popular demand from fans, so it should be easy to get ahold of!
“The Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audience’s deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... I’d better stop before I give myself nightmares”

It's a great movie that James Gunn will deny to the death that he never saw it or was influenced by when making Slither. Wink But, that is also a good movie.

I think he can deny all he wants...
But I do believe he used the idea...

Yeah, I agree. The similarities are just too close to one another.
