The score for the movie is also really good. A very memorable soundtrack to a very memorable controversial movie.

Have any of you seen CH 2? I have it, but haven't watched it yet. I'm a big fan of Cannibal Holocaust though, so I'm hoping it's not terrible...I think the "Cannibals in the City" sequel-ish film by Deodato hit the bin...anybody know anything else about it?

Honestly....I hate this movie.
It has so much hype around it,but all it really is, is simply exploitation for the point of exploitation. There is little to no story, and what story there is, is weak. The acting sure isn't noteworthy. I have no issues with gore or shock value - I love it. But don't just base a movie around it with nothing else substantial.

I've always been under the impression that exploitation was throwing in tons of sex, gore and violence, not for the sake of the story line or plot, but simply to just have tons of sex, gore and violence. I'm more afraid of people than monsters or creatures, so that aspect juxtapositioned with that mellow soundtrack really did it for me. The tits and gore were just there for our enjoyment :-)

I've had Cannibal Holocaust for a long time. My Wife also bought me a new version of it on DVD that has all the extras and shit; The super neat shiny something or other edition lol. Has interviews, and it's uncut which us great.
I've also got Cannibal Ferox / Make them die Slowly which is totally uncut and not even something you can find for the most part in this country. Saw it on VHS once, used, for like 80.00 US. I like them both really. That guy who is like a Jungle guide makes me laugh my ass off every time, lol. He's like doing Coke and Smoking Pot while they watch shit. He's so fucking funny. I've got a bunch of Cannibal Movies, and I've been grabbing whatever I can for a long time. I got Slave of the Cannibal God years ago for really cheap. "Unhinged" is another movie I'm proud to have because it was one of the "Nasties" back in the day and was totally banned even here for a while (Or at least the non censored version was) which is the version I have. Anthropophagus is another one I have uncut on DVD I'm proud of. I got Zombie Death Camp on DVD like 3 years ago for Christmas too. It's awesome because it has the "Contract" that you won't sue them or something like that and the one that if you can actually watch the whole thing. I like it though, it has Dead Kennedys in the Soundtrack. I have 7 Doors of Death on VHS... Ummm, I also have "Die you Zombie Bastards!!" on DVD, which is like amazing lol. The hero being a cannibalistic Serial Killer....lol. One thing I would like to find on DVD is this WEIRD version of Dawn of the Dead I have.... It's not Argento's version, I know that one, and it isn't the uncut version because it' actually LONGER than the uncut one... It's REALLY weird, and I can't find any info about it anywhere. It's totally uncut, and extended, more so than the "uncut, uncensored, extended" release... I've actually started both movies up at the same time before, and the one I found, was like 20 minutes longer than the extended uncut version. I have one version on VHS which is just the uncut more gore version, and then I have a special edition DVD which is totally uncut and all that too, and then the version I'm talking about I STILL can't find anywhere. I found it one day and grabbed it and was shocked. The scene at the beginning, after they show the complex full of Zombies, where they are getting Gas to get out and waiting on Roger, the version I have, has that in full. You see everything, including the cops trying to steal the Helicopter. There are more scenes that are also extended but that stood out to me. Then again my dumb ass own more than 7 copies of Night of the Living Dead because there are so many versions... To this day, I can NOT find the version of Night of the Living Dead I saw once... The original Black and White, and, it had a scene where a Priest had been bitten by a Zombie, and didn't ever "turn" into a Zombie, and I remember that He said his wounds had been washed in Holy Water, and it Saved him.... I can NOT find that anywhere. I have 8 different versions of Night of the Living Dead, NOT including Colorized, and none of them have that scene.
