Thanks to BloodyDisgusting.com for this bit of news:
Ah, nothing like a ridiculous rumor to end the night. Even if proven true, I can't help by grit my teeth together in distain. Cinema Blend is reporting that Universal Pictures may be planning a remake of the 1975 Spielberg classic Jaws, a rumor that's appeared pretty much every year since the beginning of the internet. The only thing that makes me think it's more likely is the newly found love for 3-D. Jaws in 3-D? How can you say no to that? Jaws in 3-D starring Tracy Morgan? That's how. Cinema Blend's "insider says Tracy Morgan was at one point being considered for the part of Matt Hooper, previously played by Richard Dreyfuss." It's not a matter of IF they'll remake Jaws, it's only a matter of WHEN. At least do it right. Thank God this is a rumor.

I dunno, if they let Tracy Morgan out of his "hey, go be Tracy Morgan in this situation" box he could be good. I mean looked what happened when Jim Carrey finally did a dramatic role...

That is an excellent point. I was immediately picturing Tracy Morgan being Tracy Morgan in that situation and cringing. Ugh, that guy just annoys the crap out of me. But if they would allow him to--oh, I don't know--
act then it could maybe possibly work just a little bit. But if they are going to do a remake of this classic, they need to take the time and do it right, that's for sure.

I mean, the guy is an overall dolt, if we're going to speak honestly. I didn't even think he was that funny on SNL.

Wait...
...Are they remaking Jaws or Jaws 3D?
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

I heard a rumor that Tom Cruise was supposed to have a major role in this remake.

Out running a killer is like out running a bear, you don't have to run just have a friend that is slower than you!

I hope JAWS is good though....
I admit I give ALL Remakes a chance...
But JAWS will be a toughy...
only because JAWS was mechanical and now they would make it CGI!
