Evil Dead simply for beating out Halloween in sheer intensity. ...Haven't yet seen Dead Alive.

I would have said Evil Dead because of the same reason Briggs said, BUT, Halloween scared the crap out of me as a kid because of Michael's mask. White and emotionless.

Imma have to go with my favorite of all time and say Halloween...Halloween was much more realistic for me. Even tho Evil Dead freaked me the hell out...lol

I love Evil Dead but the comedy can sometimes overshadow the horror.

I think that movie had an equal tone though...
not to much comedy... I mean not to much to ruin the film. |
