But the most important thing to remember is about Collector items is, it doesnt matter if the movie was good or not. But if the collectibles are gonna bring ya in the dough sometime down the road, thats all the matters! LOL

Well its already been out for quite a while as it is...and i havent seen it going for $100's of dollars on any sites etc yet. However the set is out of print, but there are still sites i can find this on selling it brand new. So they havent been completely sold out yet either. Sometimes we cant tell if something is going to be a collectible until it sells out. Sounds silly i know, but its true. The one thing in the old box set that is one of a kind is the encyclopedia disc, which has hella goodies on it. And its possible that you wont find these goodies ever on dvd again. And that disc alone could make the set a dire collectible some day. But only time can still tell us on this one. Its quite possible is all i can say at this point. Because it took a long time before people figured out that the 2 tape VHS collectors set had some obscure extras/footage that was never found anywhere else. I have seen that set go for as much as $100 before. But like with anything for sale, if you look around you can find a seller selling that for way, way cheaper. Most likely the person trying to sell it for $100 knows what they have and what their doing. Right now i am only buying one of the old Box Sets. Should it become a big collectible and i did decide to sell it, it would be well taken care of and in near mint condition and i could probably sell it for a good price "out of wrap" as we call it. I have seen some nasty collectibles not being well taken care of and still get a good price out of it. It just depends on who wants it bad enough. Some collectors will pay what ever it takes to get an item. Also, its possible the old box set will get more attention and more demand since this new box set comes out and is offereing nothing new or cool. Because look at us...thats what were both doing. And i think there will be more once they figure it out.

Let me dust in here, and I'll post some pics. I've been collecting horror toys & props for about ten years. Some of my best acquisitions include an actually Freddy sweater from NOES 3, a Phantasm 2 orb, the spatula from Sean of the Dead, a deadite costume from AoD & and life Size Alien.
