What horror movie theme scares you the most?

o Exorcisms/Satan: 23.9% - Scariest in the long run, eternal torment and personal corruption and all... but doesn't translate to the screen as effectively as physical threats IMO

My choice: Serial killers. Sets the standard for other scary themes in that it's easy to relate to the fear of someone who lives to kill, whatever the circumstances or emotions behind it

What was the silliest idea for a horror movie?

o Jason goes to outer space in “Jason X”: 24.4% - Seems silly on paper but handled OK considering series mythos

My choice: Killer appliances. It made for a passable film, but the general idea of it is so out there I think it qualifies

Which of these horror movie icons would you least like to meet?

o Freddy Krueger: 24.7% - Though Jason and Leatherface are probably the more outwardly terrifying, I may have to agree with this (possibly alongside Hannibal Lector, though Freddy has got more power); with the "thinking" types we not only have to worry about them hunting you down forever and manipulating/scaring you over and over in the process, but really enjoying every minute of doing it

The all-time best horror movie scream queen is:

o Jamie Lee Curtis in “Halloween”: 40% - I guess I'd have to go with this, though I really don't categorize "scream queens" that much... honestly I don't like typecasting in itself. However, I do think Jamie Lee Curtis has the best staying power and possibly the most versatility within the genre and archetype

What’s the scariest movie of the past decade?

o Paranormal Activity: 21.6% - Definitely an effective film in my book, but not quite as good as it could have been, not the best

My choice: The Strangers. A straight-up great exercise in true suspense. Not quite perfect but a nice step in the direction I feel more horror films should go

Settle the debate. Zombies should move:

o Slowly: 66.2% - I agree, at least usually. I feel the power in zombies is their ability to swarm and corner you... plus, it adds to the realism in that zombies are the stone-dead re-animated

Settle the debate. Zombies should move:

o Quickly: Lets face it faster zombies are scarier! Especially if your over weight and you know if it came down to a zombie apocalypse your ass is grass! I mean really what is SO scary about a slow ass zombie?
