Dr. BriggsMimic: The Director's Cut?
#1
One of Guillermo Del Toro's earliest films, and among the few which is almost inarguably horror in the sense we all know. Mimic is despite this often panned by critics, horror fans, and even the director himself.

I recall watching Mimic not long after its release and a few times since, and some scenes have stuck with me. I recall it being pretty damn good, and I'm confident I'd think of it the same way on a rewatch.

Still, the prospect of a director's cut, a version of the film Guillermo would actually support, gets me excited. It's not only because I believe Mimic would finally get more of the acclaim it deserves, but because I believe I would personally like it all the better.

It seems this vision may just become a reality in the forseeable future! Though there's no real concrete evidence yet, Guillermo does talk of cobbling together a director's cut (despite *puke* LOST FOOTAGE :reddisgustSmile, specifically, finishing a director's cut! No April Fool's day joke here - http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/top...p?id=12022
“The Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audience’s deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... I’d better stop before I give myself nightmares”
