BojanglesThe Amityville Horror
#1
Everybody in Amityville knows about the house on Ocean Ave. Was it real or a hoax? Most people seem to think that it was just a hoax, but most famous paranormal investigators still maintain the house is haunted by an evil presense.
Amityville House

In November 1974, Ronald DeFeo murdered his entire family, shooting them all with a .35 Marlin Rifle. According to DeFeo he was being controlled by evil spirits and heard voices. He was sentenced to six life sentences. A year later Kathy and George Lutz moved in. They moved out after a month. They made incredible claims of black ooze coming from toilets, doors blown off hinges, unexplained teeth marks, a pit to hell in the basement, and of course the bleeding walls. It was a little too sensational for most people to believe.

But there were some remarkable things that did have some truth. Goerge Lutz did look very much like Ronald DeFeo. So much it is literally scary. The stories that the Lutz's told sounded like previous cases of demonic possession, but many claimed they were just rumors.

The stories spawned numerous books, movies, and a cult following. There are stories about the property being built on Indian Burial grounds, an Indian sanitarium, or even a supposed witch living on the property from Salem Massachusetts. None of the claims have been proven.

Recently the house has been occupied by new owners, they have reported nothing unusual.

I think it was weird that every victim was found laying face down in their beds. No one seemed to wake up from the gun shots, or move from their bed. Just seems a bit weird.

Something could have definitely stuck behind after something like that. The question is, did the Lutz family experience anything paranormal, or were they just cashing in on the murders?

Yeah. That house just looks evil. Especially those creepy windows it had. Yes, I said had. The family that lives there now changed those classic Amityville windows. Sad

I wouldnt mind checking out the house sometime. I live about 4 hours away from the ammityville house. Its very scary from the outside. they wont even put it up for sale or knock it down. the leave it abandoned. both the original and the remake of the movie were good.

I'd love to go see the house. I just hate knowing that those evil windows were changed.

Is the house currently abandoned? I thought someone else had moved in there.
