Dr. BriggsSalvage (2006)

You can find this both in single release and in a 4-pack... I recommend you buy the single release, I sure regret not doing that Tongue.

There is a lot of cruddy indie-horror nowadays, heck I'm tempted to say since I liked the Prom Night and My Bloody Valentine remakes that Hollywood horror might even be starting to kick low-budget horror (Which has given us Side Sho and Dark Fields)'s ass... Salvage was surprisingly un-cruddy. Sure it isn't the most "eventful" film, but unlike much modern horror it concentrates on atmosphere instead of silly ideas and gore.

Day after day it seems a girl's life becomes stranger as she is stalked, and has flashbacks of possibly even being killed, all by the hands of someone who may be dead... it seems there is a growing mystery around her, a mystery that seems unsolvable due to those around her refusing to cooperate...

Salvage is a supernatural mystery with interesting characters, some nicely scary moments and a surprisingly good twist. Again, I recommend you actually buy this one single-release if you can - I give it a 6.5 or 7/10
“The Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audience’s deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... I’d better stop before I give myself nightmares”
