They should really show it way more often. Even though I have it on DVD, when I spot it on TV I just can't change the channel. John Carpenter is a legend! Unfortunately, they showed the original Sci-Fi movie which is called The Rock Monster (or something) after The Thing went off.

The Thing is a DAMN good movie!
It's sad that The Rock Monster came on afterwards...
that movie is so damn retarded.
And I agree John Carpenter is a Legend!

Ever time I watch The Thing, I get cold and freeze solid, only to be unthawed when the anger from watching Rock Monster heats me up.
The Thing is awesome. One of the best isolation movies. Hey! Ya think Steve Niles got the idea for 30 Days of Night (Which I liked a lot case it was a cool idea, and made vampires monsters instead of pretty fanged puff balls who are so SWEEEEEEEEEETTTT! Ewwwwww)from there? Had to be an inspiration.:zombie:

For some reason, I didn't like The Happening. Oh, it was because it was badly acted, kinda boring, and drawn out. Oh, that my "For some reason." Thats how it works.:zombie:

The acting was outrageously bad.

The Thing is on my list of them movies that you just cant change when it is on tv. As far as The Happening goes, that movie was terrible. I love Mark Wahlberg as an actor, but he should be embarrassed that he was in that movie. If I was him, I would have it removed from all of my acting credits, especially IMDB.
