The news is out on rob Zombie's next horror project. Deadline reports that Zombie has committed to make The Lords of Salem his next directorial outing. The film has been put together by Haunted Films, the company run by the Paranormal Activity and Insidious team of Jason Blum, Steven Schneider and Oren Peli. The thriller is set in contemporary Salem, where the inhabitants receive a demonic visit from a 300-year old coven of witches. Zombie will write the script while on his upcoming concert tour circuit, and will shoot next year. Zombie told the site he originally hatched the Salem premise several years ago, but started stirring the cauldron again when he changed his plan to direct a remake of The Blob.

Is he still going to direct The Blob? For the love of God Zombie, just drop The Blob and focus on this movie because at least this one sounds really good. Please, do it. *Gets down on knees* please!!!! There is still time to atone for all your sins.

Yea I'm pretty sure he dropped the Blob cuz in an interview he said the remake train was getting to crowded and he already remade Halloween and got mix reviews on that then was Hated for H2.

Now if he sticks with this mindset I might have my faith back in him.

^ I agree, his original work is the best. A witch coven is definitely different from what is being played right now, and its smart of him to appeal to his female fans. Cuz, yanno we love Rob.

Oh yeah, his original work is great. I'm not a fan of 1,000 Corpses but Devil's Rejects was phenomenal. I just want him to make his own ideas.
