Back in high school I was dating this art guy. :nopity:
I will not say artist - since he copied pictures from old gamer magazines and tried to sell them as his own.
Anyway we'd been going out since a few weeks before Christmas - broke up to "spare me the cheap betowation of gaudy trinkets" then got back together for new years's eve - then he said he had "something special for VD Day"
Yes - February 14th.
Anyway I had gotten him one of those super tiny candy assortments - the kind that has dark, milk and white chocolate. Since he had a sweet tooth and eaten most of the Halloween candy his family had set out for the trick or treaters the year before.
Granted I knew it wasn't much but I didn't expect to go out at all that night and I had to do something.
He got me a heart.
He'd gone to the butcher's slab asked for the "cleanest freshest one they had"
and put it in those clear cases that one uses for carrying card collections. He said he wanted to be able to say he gave me his heart for valentine's day.
We broke up it was when neither of us called back after his grandmother told me he wouldn't be going out for awhile thanks to the legal fees of the copyright laws he'd broken and the family was being sued over...
Anyone else get such an interesting gift on or about this holiday? :eg:
