Friday the 13th CURES

I've been doing a lot of reading of myths, old wives tales etc -
and yet some of these cures are often silly or are worse than the problem!
Example:if you wrapped a *new* wound with a spider web it was supposed to heal without a scar...uh NO!!! :gy:
THAT BEING SAID does anyone have anything they do as a habit or personality quark that may not any sense to the rest of the world...?
Bonus points if it relates to an *existing* superstition
