Cinematic Shocks - In-depth analysis on horror, exploitation and other shocking cinema
#1
Cinematic Shocks is my blog in which I cover films mostly of genre cinema and I will be dipping outside of it applying intelligible in-depth analysis with honest non-bias opinion to movies made to scare, shock and disturb their audiences.

I publish a new article on average once a week and at this moment there are 53 pieces for you to read including links to five reviews I have published on Zombie Keeper.

I hope you enjoy the insightful journey I am going to take you on into the dark side of cinema...

Starting next week, I will be publishing two new reviews per week. More quantity does not mean less quality though as I will still be putting in the exact same care and effort into each article to make for the best possible reads. In the case of a feature then it will be just the one piece for a week but other than that it will be two new reviews per week from now on unless other commitments dictates otherwise.

I’ll be doing write ups of new releases in the next couple of weeks.

Check out my review of The Wicker Tree (2011).

I know it's been a while since my last update, but from now on I will be publishing a new article twice a week with the first piece up every Wednesday and the second up every Friday. So, you will know when to check back for new material from me. You will also know what to expect to see on Cinematic Shocks every week from the new 'COMING ATTRACTIONS' section at the top of the right column.

Check out my feature article Death Wish II (1982) - A Quintessential Piece of Exploitative Revenge.

This will be the last feature I will write for quite some time and the plan to publish two new reviews per week is now on the backburner. From now on for a good while, Cinematic Shocks will be updated every Friday as a bi-weekly blog of in-depth reviews of around about 1000 words each.

I know this was my first update in two weeks but from now on, you can expect a new review from me every Friday without fail. I would like to write more features and publish a couple of reviews every week but I have other stuff going on. So, check back to the site every Friday for new material from me.

Thanks for reading,

CINEMATIC SHOCKS IS BACK!

This is a general update to inform you that after an around about two months hiatus the site is back and delivering you a new review once a week.

The first of this new material can be read here with my write up of Cut and Run (1985).

This is also my last update for the blog here. The traffic for Cinematic Shocks is now quite substantial for a fledgling site. If you want to keep updated with what is going with the blog then please like Cinematic Shocks on Facebook, follow via Twitter, subscribe to the site’s feed, submit your e-mail address on the blog for updates, or if you have a Google account then join Cinematic Shocks.

I want to give a big thanks to Talk Horror for letting me pimp out the site here and your website’s banner will remain linked on the blog’s Sites of Interest page forever.

Thank you all very much for your support,

Dave J. Wilson
