Why can't I ever find what I'm looking for

I started playing piano when I was 7 years old. I took classes for many years, I hadn't played in a while, haven't been to my father's house in almost two years, which is where -my- piano is (my dad seems to think the piano's his, pfft mine mine mine) Well my mother in law just got an electric piano and now I can go over there and play whenever I want.

I remembered there was this one piece by Leopold Mozart that I loved to play, I've played it at recitals and stuff. Well I just spent almost TWO hours looking for the sheet music online and NADA. I can't find it anywhere, i search for free sheet music and end up on sites that ask me to pay to view anything or try to sell it to me. The best of all was this one site that tried to sell me a compilation of sheet music, in PDF that was PUBLIC DOMAIN for 30 bucks.

Why can't I find what I'm looking for? UGH on top of that, try searching for mozart on any of those sites and all you find is W.A. Mozart, what about his father? I have to dig through tons of WA stuff to find maybe, one minuet by L. Mozart, and of course it's not the one I'm looking for.

I'm utterly frustrated right now, when my dad gets back from hunting I'm gonna have him send me the book it's in, but then again i'll probably end up with the wrong book, or god knows what he did with my sheet music.

Sorry if this seems a bit out of place, I just really needed to vent and well rant, this just pisses me off. The only place i found it was on youtube, which doesn't help me at all.

I've given up on it, I'm gonna try and look at our local music store, maybe they can order the piece for me, it'd probably be faster than waiting until my dad gets back home in july and having him send it. I'd probably end up with the wrong ones if I had my dad send it, he's not exactly good with music. It still pisses me off that most websites that advertise free sheet music won't give it to you unless you subscribe and pay for the subscription. I guess they feel comfortable saying the sheet music is free, you just pay for the subscription, to me that's not free, ugh.

yw - I feel the same way with any search based on only fading memories and a few sense triggers

when you finally find it... it's such a calming steady rush...
