It’s been years now since Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews), killed Jason Voorhees while the murdered was attacking him and his sister, Trish. The experience landed Tommy in a mental institution where he spent the years of his youth, but now that he’s out, he needs closure to put his mind at ease. Therefore, he decides to go to Jason’s gravesite, dig him up to confirm the body is there, and then cremate. However, a freak bolt of lightning resurrects the body of Jason Voorhees, returning the hockey-masked killer to life.
