Plot
Lionel, a Mama's boy has the unwanted honor of having to look after his overbearingly evil mother. He ends up falling in love with a local woman who believes that they're destined together. In a moment of intentional sabotage of one of their dates, his mother is bitten by a mysterious creature that ends up zombifying her. It's only a matter of time before she rises from the dead a powerful, bloodthirsty zombie and starts infecting residents of the town and Lionel has to stop her...and them.
Review
This is Peter Jackson's forth movie he directed. It's kind of cheesy, no, it's very cheesy. Very cheep affects, but it adds to the charm of this movie. I read somewhere that he finished about $45,000 (NZ) under budget and decided to film the scene in the park, one of my favorite scenes. The movie states that the bond between a mother and son can never be broken, until the end of the movie. For people who like zombies and blood and guts it's very cool, there is even a zombie digestive track that keeps chasing after Lionel!

Oh this movie is the definition of cheesy. C'mon... a Kung Fu priest!! (I kick ass for the lord!) And I love the massive amounts of gore that was pumped into this movie. Plus, I think Jackson broke the world record for most fake blood on one scene (The lawnmower scenes)
