so i failed my driving test. again. 5 times now. i just dont fucking get it. i drive really when i'm driving with my dad but when i take the test it seems i do EVERYTHING wrong. i do what my dad taught me, i do what a driving instructor my parents hired taught me but to the examiner, IT'S ALL FUCKIN WRONG, ALL OF IT FUCKING WRONG. WHY is the test so hard?? fuck all the people that pass it, it's just way too hard. i don't know why i cant do it, i do what i always do when i drive with my dad but to them it's wrong. WHY? i dont know. whatever, fuck it. i give up, i don't know what to do anymore. i don't even know what the fuck i do wrong because I JUST DO WHAT I WAS TAUGHT BUT TO THEM IT'S WRONG BECAUSE THE STANDARDS ARE SET SO HIGH IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO MEET THEM.

Does the Examiner tell you what it is that you are doing wrong? And what are the standards they are looking for? Here all you do is go on a short drive with an examiner they test you on your basics if you use your turn signals right, using your mirrors, putting on your seat belt, the four way stop crap, the right of way, your tested on your parking abilities like paralelling etc and then drive back, thats it. Plus your allowed a couple errors, doesnt have to be perfect. Are you getting the same examiner by the way? If so, request someone new. And if all else fails, if you think you are doing everything right then i would think its time for some type of investigation as to what the problem is. What is your driving instructor saying about all this? Just some things to think about.

I guess some people just aren't meant to drive. I guess keep trying, or you can just give up. We can't make you do either one. I guess it just boils down to how bad do you wanna drive. Remember, the only ones who fail are those that give up.

My problem is with stress; I can drive allright but I don't like being fucking judged when I'm driving. My licence seems far off as well.
I definitely feel sympathy for you, Daylight, and I really hope that you can get it in the future. Standards can be a real bitch, but until you can prove the naysayers wrong, take pride in doing what you can. If you can drive you can drive, even if you "may not"; it's enraging I feel ya', but nothing to be embarassed about if you feel that way.

whatever, like Bo said, some people arent meant to drive and i'm one of them.
last time, the guy said i didnt take my right of way. this time i was turning right at a red light so i turned and there was a car coming but it was far away so i went anyway and we ended up in the lane at the exact same time and the examiner said i did it wrong. then she said i need to break smoothly but my car is old and it's the only way it breakes, i cant change that, i had my breaks fixed twice already bc they kept on fucking up.
i'm FUCKING DONE.

Can you get a different car thats in better shape for your test by any chance? Ruby had told me about a similar ordeal that cost her on her first time. Because something was broke on her car and it was a really old car when she tried. It sucks things like this happen when its something you cant control like that. And other then that it just sounds like minor mishaps thats easily fixed and you should be good to go. Unfortunately some of these examiners are very picky about what they look for. And i dont believe that some people arent meant to drive, unless something psycially is keeping them from it. Dont let that get in your head, go show them you can get it done shoot!

I passed my drivers test the first time I took it so I don't know what your going through I mean but the test where I live is alot different all you have to do is drive around a parking lot , stop at a few stop signs and then parallel park if you do all 3 of those things here you pass but its sounds like yours maybe alot harder so that must suck but dont give up you'll get them one of these days

I'm not being a dick or anything. But a piece of advice if you DO decide to retake it, the breaks shouldn't be that much of an issue but as far as the right of way. If a car is coming, and it's not TOO far but not TOO close, just wait. They can't legally penalize you for taking too long to turn on the test, they can't TELL you to go and beat the car. I mean if it's a mile away then there's no way they can say you did it wrong, unless your not stopping at a stop sign or not yielding at a yield.
Maybe if you could sit down with your instructor BEFORE taking the test and stress your concers to him/her and see if he/she can tell you what they expect. Or if you fail it again, ask if they have the time to give you a few notes on what to improve on next time. Explain the situation with the breaks, or as stated above, find a friend or family member with better breaks.
Unless you live in Los Angeles or New York City, there will definately be a day when you need that license, and you'll regret not getting it. I really don't need one as I live in a city with a few million people, so the public transit here is amazing or I can just walk where I need to go.
But I still have a license just in case, because ya never know!

my parents tried everything, even offering to buy me any car i want if i pass that test and i STILL CANT DO IT.
no i live in a city where i need a license and i still cant pass. i do everything right with my dad, he says i do it right. my parents hired me a driving instructor and he said i did it right too but when i do what they say is right on the test the examiner says it's wrong.
last time i failed, i did what they told me to do and i failed this time because the examiner i had this time said it was wrong. i...just...dont...fucking...know.
