(Nov. 5) -- Even superheroes can turn out on the wrong side of the law.
Police in Connecticut broke up a brawl among two men dressed like the superheroes Spider-Man and Captain America, and a woman wearing a costume modeled after the Batman villain Poison Ivy.
The bizarre incident took place in a parking garage in Stamford early Halloween morning when Michael Sanchez, 25 -- who was wearing a Captain America costume -- got into a fight with a man who wasn't wearing a costume, police told StamfordAdvocate.com.
That man turned out to be the father of 21-year-old Vincent DeCarlo, who was dressed as Spider-Man at the time.
DeCarlo allegedly avenged his father the way Spidey avenged his Uncle Ben, brawling with Captain America as police tried to break up the altercation.
After officers pulled the superheroes apart, Spider-Man's girlfriend, 18-year-old Nicole Bitterli -- who was dressed like Poison Ivy -- allegedly punched Captain America.
According to Courant.com, Captain America was charged with third-degree assault, Spider-Man was charged with third-degree assault and interfering with a police officer, and Poison Ivy was accused of breach of peace.
