In the small town of Goshen, Indiana, teenage girls are mysteriously disappearing and no one seems to care. After revealing to her best friend Sarah (Anna Kendrick, Twilight) that she has been meeting men online, Jillian (Tania Raymonde, "Lost") goes missing. Now, the only clues to her whereabouts are her diary and a cryptic video message sent from her cell phone.

Review:
All of us have heard the horror stories about meeting people online. That is basically what this movie deals with. Honestly, I have seen it done better. After our main character's friend goes missing, she's on the hunt to find out what happened to her. When she begins hunting for her friend it's realistic, but boring. I mean, if my best friend went missing I would have no problem going through their myspace and picking out the suspects. It wouldn't be boring for me, but if someone was watching me do this I'm sure it would be boring for them. I wouldn't expect someone to be entertained by watching me investigate 2,000+ messages. That's basically what this girl does besides going around a small town and questioning people.
This movie does have a bit of mystery to it. Did her friend just simply flee to get away from the small town life, or was she adbucted and possibly murdered? If so, who did it? This is a mystery Sarah will have to figure out on her own. Apparently her friend did not have a very good reputation around town. In other words, no one even seems to care. No one, except for a boy that has a crush on Sarah and is willing to aid her in the investigation.
This movie is 1 hour and 46 minutes long. Had it been shorter, it may have made the film a bit better. Unfortunately, I kind of doubt it. There just wasn't enough action for the movie to hold my interest. The mystery aspect was lame, the suspects were lame and you really didn't care about the characters.
I am still trying to figure out how this movie received an R rating. There was barely any blood at all. There was no nudity that I recall, only myspace-style pictures. I also don't remember there being a significant amount of foul language. How it got an R rating is just beyond me. If you're looking for something that will hold your attention, you should definitely look elsewhere (pun intended). I give Elsewhere a 5 out of 10.
