Salem, OR, United States (AHN) -- An Oregon man was arrested for allegedly trying to blow up a tree in his backyard with homemade explosives, according to police reports.
Zachary Leone, 19, was arrested by Polk County officers and charged with two counts of unlawfully making a destructive device, two counts of disorderly conduct and illegal sale/use of fireworks, reports stated.
The incident occurred at Leone's home in Salem on Sunday around 6:30 p.m.
Authorities reported the blast would not have hurt anyone.
Police reportedly found more homemade devices in Leone's home, which may lead to more charges.
Leone is in custody at the Polk County Jail.
