Same here. I don't want to be in the movie, I just want to watch it.

I dont mind 3D if its done well. The only thing is i havent seen a 3D movie yet that has knocked my socks off so to speak. I can say that the 3D technology is def better then it used to be.

I think, when it's done well, that 3-D really enhances the movie. The trick is doing it well. "Coraline" was one movie that did it well. I haven't seen "Avatar" so I can't comment on it. But, in general, most movies use it as an excuse to just throw stuff at the audience instead of making an immersive experience. That's the really disappointing bit about 3-D.

3D is jus another way for the movie theaters and studios to make more money off of us. 3D is fine when it done for animated movies but keep it away from horror movies.

MAYBE boycott 3D showings if you feel that strong for ending the trend, but at the very least don't boycott 2D versions of GOOD 3D films
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

Like everybody has already said... 3D may be a gimmick but if done right, it can be pretty cool to watch. They just need to perfect the technology.

As someone who has no depth perception, I've been boycotting 3D since they became the norm - since I can't see them.
So it's really aggravating when movies are released with absolutely no substance and just tack 3D on to make a buck.

Yeah, if 3D isn't done right it really fucks with my eyes clinically. However, there are movies I can watch in 3D.
