Hello!
My name is Caftan King and I am a staff writer of a Horror and Paranormal Magazine here at my place. I registered here after I saw a link in the Forum Promotion website. It definitely seems interesting and I look forward to many terrifying discussions with everybody.
A little about myself. I have always had an avid interest in the paranormal, especially in the area of ghosts and hauntings. In reality, anything strange and unexplained interests me. I've had a few supernatural experiences in my life, experiences that will more than likely remain unexplained. I am a paranormal investigator, as well as a writer.
Have a good day and I look forward to talking soon.

Welcome to TalkHorror.com! We're glad to have you and we've been looking for someone to beef up our paranormal sections . I have had a few paranormal occurrences myself. I haven't talked about all of them on here, but there are a couple I have posted about in our paranormal section. I can't wait to discuss more of the paranormal with you. Once again, welcome aboard!

Glad to have a pro among us, Caftanking, and hope we hear from you more often!
âThe Fright Night remake is a film which taps into the audienceâs deepest rooted fears, such as those of vampires throwing motorcycles at them. I dread the thought of a vampire throwing a refrigerator or a deskjet printer or... Iâd better stop before I give myself nightmaresâ

Welcome. I am fairly new myself so I'm glad to know I'm not the complete newbie anymore.
A few years ago in college I wrote a column in the University newspaper about hauntings and paranormal activity in Philadelphia. I even published a few pieces in Haunted Times magazine. What is the name of the magazine you write for you?

Have you guys been inside the Eastern State Pen in Philadelphia? I was there back in 2000. That place was insane.

Eastern State Penitentiary is one of my favorite places on earth. I have been their multiple times. You should check out during their Terror Behind the Walls event, which starts at the end of September and goes to Halloween. It's a blast. I go every year and I plan to kick off October with another trip to ESP.
While I was in grad school I wrote letters to an elderly Pennsylvania inmate who spent about 8 years as an inmate in Eastern State in the late 60s and early 70s just before it closed for good.
If your a horror lover you should definitely check out Eastern State even for a regular day tour. It'll blow you away.

I've had a huge interest in the Paranormal for a long time. Glad to have you here and you'd get a kick out of Briggs... legend has it, he IS the Jersey Devil.

It's quite possible he's both.

...How many times do I have to tell you that I am Spring Heeled Jack? It ain't funny when you claim me to be Mothman, you know my sister is dating Mothman. That's just sick of you to say.

That's cool! Do u have his letters? Can u recall what was talked about?
I did the Terror Behind the Walls event. At the time, they made us wear hard hats and sign a waiver saying if anything happened to us we wouldn't sue. It sounds like they are doing major preserving of the building now. Did u see the carvings from the inmates, the notes they wrote on desks and chairs? I remember that being so chilling. Ghost Adventures did an awesome job shooting this place - if u catch that episode, its worth the watch.
Sorry for hijacking your welcome thread King! You got us all fired up!

Caftan hasn't made a post since his welcome thread.
Though Nik is right, when you do mention paranormal we tend to get a little ADHD on you and spew off into different tangents. I am deeply interested in paranormal activity. (Not just the movie)

My apologies. You see, when you stare at me through my window you just look like Mothman. It's uncanny the resemblance.

My apology Freddy'sFingers
I got sick so had to stop doing my chores and hobbies (including internet surfing..sigh). Well, in my time away I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia - really explains an awful lot - and I am beginning to get my life back on track now. I'm hoping to be able to pop in here most days, if not every day and hopefully will feel able to join you in the discussions sometime in the future.
