This was going to be a single post in the topic for Halloween 2, though since it does not mention the Halloween remake at all I thought it would be best just to make it its own section

I am one of the few out there who liked House of 1K Corpses more than Devil's Rejects, I thought the former was an absolutely hi-larious horror-comedy, whereas when shit got serious in the latter it just gave me the hope that the main chars would die hard.
Oddly enough I actually thought the ending of TDR was brilliant for the subject matter; The Fireflies get a taste of just what they are/do to people... but then so does the crazed sheriff! The family is saved from burning by one of the few in the clan who has not hurt anyone else in a sadistic way... The rest of the feral clan go out, defeated, and die in a way that keeps their dignity, rather than having to face the society that they are no part of...
Basically, just making my feelings known. Go ahead and add to the discussion anyway you'd wish
